1. Fill out the online personal information form.
2. Purchase* the video, Kubaton Basics. (59 minutes - actual class session with first time students; review sections included)
3. Purchase a training kubaton.
4. Pay 50% of first year certification fee.
   4.1 We provide you with a copy of the "Functional Kubaton Teaching Syllabus". This is an essential guide to teaching of the "jitsu" aspect of kubaton skills applications.
   
5. After 21 days of material review, do the following:
   5.1 Take the online examination and pass with a score of 70% or more.
   5.2 The test can be re-taken until passed.
   5.3 Send a 20 to 30 minute DVD of you teaching a basics program.
   5.4 Write a personal interpretation of your state's laws regarding the liabilities and responsibilities of the use of force in personal protection, including deadly force.
   
6. Your DVD will be reviewed, and either:
   6.1 You will pass and be certified.
   OR
   6.2 You will NOT pass, and specific areas of concern will be related to you. You will be allowed two more submission attempts with corrections. There will be no extra charge for further review of submitted material, up to a total of first submission and 2 revised session reviews.
   6.3 Once passed, you will receive a certificate from Kuba-Jitsu, and a letter of certification, detailing your wherewithal relative to the program.
   

Classes taught under the auspices of your certification will avail your students of a card signifying their course completion. We will provide cards for you at $2.00 per card (minimum one sheet of 10 per order). These cards will be hand signed by Kuba-Jitsu Master Tom Crone, and have a space for your signature. You may charge appropriately for these cards or include them in your course offering as a bonus for students.

Kubatons, DVDs, and other related products for classes must be ordered from Kuba-Jitsu. You will be able to purchase at wholesale prices (providing you a 100% mark-up in most instances).

You will sign a release from liability freeing Kuba-Jitsu, its assigns and associates, from direct or indirect liability from any injury or fatality resulting from use of its principles, philosophies or equipment.

You will review and sign an acknowledgment of the Kuba-Jitsu Statement of Ethical Responsibility. (You will be able to review this prior to making any payment for Certification.)
